Angus M. Miller, Jr., 84, a lifelong Newton resident, died Wed Nov 3, 2004 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton.Raised in Newton he attended Newton schools. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps during WW II and participated in offensive and defensive operations against Japanese forces with the First Maine Division at Guadalcanal in 1942. He was also a skilled carpenter and a member of Carpenters Union Local # 275.He is survived by his wife Lois (Walcott) Miller, his sons Steven F. Miller of Karlsruhe, Germany, Douglas R. Miller of Salina KS, and Donald S. Miller of Medfield, his sisters Marjorie Emmanuelo of Cohasset and Marilyn Hooker of Natick. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Visiting hours will be held on Sat Nov 6 from 2-4 PM in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Private interment will take place at the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Mass 11 Vanderbilt Ave. Norwood MA 02062.
