Carolyn M. (Yebba) (Ballato) Fiatrone passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Monday. She was 81.
Carolyn was born and raised in East Boston, the daughter of the late Angelo and Natalina (Pasi) Yebba. Carolyn lived most of her life in Medford and spent several years living in Merrimack, NH. She enjoyed a long career in banking as a comptroller. Her career began with the former Depositor’s Trust Co. in Medford and she later worked with Citizens and Century Banks as well as Fiserv. With her son Robert, she belonged to Wushakum Live Steamers and Northeast Live Steamers clubs and owned her own train. Carolyn enjoyed the company of her family and friends. It was her devotion to her family and care for those in need that she is best remembered. Even as she suffered stage four cancer she gave her heart and soul to help ailing family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Frank Ballato and Ralph Fiatrone Carolyn is also predeceased by her son Richard Ballato. She leaves her devoted sons Frank Ballato of Somerville and Robert Ballato of Athol. She was a loving grandmother to BJ Ballato, Richard Ballato and Roseann Altatro. The dear sister of Carmela Micozzi of Plymouth, Mabel DeSimone of North Reading, Isabell Greenwood of Stoneham the late Francis Yebba, Simone “Sonny” Yebba and MaryTheresa Gibson, she also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Tuesday April 22nd from 4 – 8 PM and again on Wednesday morning at 9 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
