Obituary

Laconia-----Barry L. Pong. 69, of 175 Blueberry Lane, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was the widower of Joan Lee (Amirault) Pong who died in 2010.
Mr. Pong was born May 3, 1944 in Camden, New Jersey, the son of the late Joseph and Ozar L. (Cannady)Pong. He was a longtime resident of Laconia and had been employed at ABC Fabrication for many years.
Mr. Pong was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church. He enjoyed cooking and being a DJ and was a member of the New Hampshire Inter-Tribal Council.
Survivors include his native daughter, Jennifer L. Tucker, of New Hampton; two brothers, Warren T. Pong of New Jersey and Henry L. Pong of Florida; three sisters, Josephine, Margie and Nancy Pong of New Jersey; his native niece, Amanda L. Marden, of Gilford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mr. Pong was predeceased by his parents and by his daughter, Judith A. Pong.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the family lot at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Smith Meeting House Road, Gilmanton, N.H. where Mr. Pong will be buried with his wife.
