Stephen W. Mellor, 57, of Franklin, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Eileen (Ferrin) Mellor since 1980.
Born in Bangor, Maine on November 2, 1956, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Beatrice (Roy) Mellor.
Steve was a resident of Franklin since 1992 and formerly resided in Townsend.
He grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut, graduated from Andrew Warde High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Quinnipiac University in 1979.
Steve was the Director of Human Resources at Waters Corporation in Milford where he worked for 22 years.
Steve loved to play pool and enjoyed woodworking and golf.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Erin Mellor, Amy Mellor and her fiancé Cody Giroux, David Mellor and his wife Mariah, and one grandson, Jake Mellor.
He is also survived by a sister Nancy Provencher and her husband Dave of Milford, Connecticut, a brother Bradley Mellor of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin on Friday, April 25th at Noon.
