Obituary

Mrs. Alice P. (Brady) Laine, of Carver, died Monday, April 14 in the Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital (Jordan Hospital), Plymouth, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Raymond A. “Butch” Laine, Sr. She was born 71 years ago in Brockton, the daughter of the late William F. and Francis (Sidlofsky) Brady. She was educated in Brockton, having graduated from the former St. Patrick’s High School, and had been a Carver resident for the past 40 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an Event Organizer for the Town of Hanson at Camp Kiwanee for 7 years. Alice also operated The Crafty Peddler on the South Shore for 22 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Carver.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 2 sons: Raymond A. Laine, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Buzzards Bay, and David P. Laine of Easton; 1 daughter: Kelly A. Masciovecchio and her husband, Stephen of Buzzards Bay; 4 grandchildren: Ashley Sherman, Alison Laine, Jennifer Masciovecchio, and David J. Laine, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Friday, April 18 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Lakenham Cemetery, Carver. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
