CHICOPEE – Stacey A. (Mileszko) Holewa, 93, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, April 14, 2014. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Northampton on December 12, 1920, a beloved daughter of the late Nyklys and Kiejdy (Wanczyk) Mileszko. She was raised in Amherst and moved to the Fairview section of Chicopee in the 1950’s. She was previously employed by the former Halmar Distributors in Holyoke and had last worked for the former Falls Nursing Home in South Hadley. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Ralph J. Holewa who was Called Home on August 3, 1976. She leaves her loving son, Ralph P. Holewa of Chicopee; her cherished grandson, Mark A. Holewa and his wife, Lisa, of Springfield; her cherished great grandson, William P. Holewa; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended members of the Holewa and Mileszko families. Besides her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brothers and sisters, Joseph, John, Mary, Blanche, Nellie, and Mildred. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, April 21, 2014 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning, April 21, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. before the Mass. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
