Josephine Kelley, 93, of Methuen, died early Monday morning, April 14, 2014 at the Prescott House in North Andover.
Born in Lawrence in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Stella and Benny Sustak. Josephine was educated in the Lawrence Public Schools. She worked at Western Electric and later stayed home to care for her family. Josephine and her late husband John Kelley had three daughters: Joanne Kelley of Georgia, June Stacy of Dracut, MA, and Judith Marcoux of Lawrence, MA. Josephine is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Andrea Lombardi of Methuen, Michael Stacy of Dracut, Kelley Lussier of Dracut, Jason Marcoux of China, Jarred Marcoux of Texas and 6 great grandchildren. Josephine's family remembers her as an outstanding cook and baker. She was always busy in the kitchen preparing meals for her family and she never missed a Sunday dinner. Josephine enjoyed sewing, reading, playing bingo, and traveling. She also enjoyed the company of her granddaughter Andrea's Yorkshire Terriers Porko and Griffin whom she loved to hold and pet. They would often visit her at the nursing home. Josephine's family would like to thank both the Prescott House Nursing Home and Merrimack Valley Hospice for their support and compassionate care.
