Sophia C. "Sue" Nardelli, age 84, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at home in Woburn with her loving family by her side. Sue was the youngest daughter of 7 children, of the late Victoria (Hryniewicz) and Daniel Marcinczyk.
Sue was born and raised in Connecticut and graduated from the William W. Backus Nursing School in 1951, in Norwich, CT. She married the love of her life, the late Michael A. Nardelli, on May 13, 1956, at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain, CT. They moved to Woburn, where they raised their loving family.
Sue was a registered nurse and worked at the Choate Hospital and New England Rehabilitation Hospital, both in Woburn, retiring 1991. She was a member of the Catholic Nurses Association and a former choir member at St. Anthony Church, Woburn. Years before she enjoyed playing her guitar at St. Patrick Church in Cambridge. A very spiritual person, Sue enjoyed her time she spent volunteering at church and attending mass.
Sue and her late husband Mike loved to travel, going away every year, visiting resorts in Mexico, Aruba or on Cape Cod. She loved to read and crochet. Most of all Sue loved being around her family especially her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sue was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Nardelli. Devoted mother of Marianne DeCelles of Tewksbury, and her late husband Stephen, Michael A. Nardelli Jr. of Woburn, Susan C. Nardelli of Nashua, NH, Stephen R. Nardelli and his wife Cathy of Hudson, NH, Kathleen M. Moran and her husband Daniel of Quincy, Judith Scalley and her husband David of Twin Mountain, NH. Also survived by 10 Loving Grandchildren and 8 Loving Great Grandchildren.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, April 18th at 9:30 AM. Followed by a Blessing in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., WOBURN at 10:30 AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
