Elma Elizabeth (Barnes) Hudson, 91, of Anderson went to be with her Lord at Edgewater Woods in Anderson on April 12, 2014.
She was born on February 4, 1923 in Anderson to William McKinley and Mary Louise (Smith) Barnes.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and homemaker. Her first love and service was to God. She was a prayer warrior and intercessor; a Sunday School Teacher, choir member; wrote poetry; enjoyed listening to big band music and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by her son, Allan Lee Hudson; daughter, Carla Kay Ulmer; sister, Katherine Rogers; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; other family members, Terry Gene Cook; Tony Barnes and Bethany Barnes; sister-in-law, Iris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael David Hudson; brothers, Robert Barnes; Virgil Barnes; grandson, Jeremy Dehart and great great grandson, Sammy Abbott.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, Friday, April 18, 2014 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating with burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, April 17 from 4-8 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
