LOUDON – Bernice L. “Bunny” Lord, 75, of 239 Mudgett Hill Road, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Concord Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She lived in Belmont, New Hampshire most of her life.
She was born on April 5, 1939 in Rumney, NH, the daughter of Clifford A. and Jeannette (Forrest) Greenwood. Bunny worked for several years for NH Ball Bearing in Laconia, as well as for Laconia Needle, and Belmont Hosiery. She was an organizer of family reunions. She loved the ocean, being in the outdoors, and her dogs. She was an extremely hard worker and strongly enforced family values with a tough exterior, but a loving heart.
She is survived by her husband and loving companion for 36 years, Eugene “Gene” Morrissette of Loudon, her children; Robert O. Lord (and his wife, Lisa) of Belmont, Cindy Morrissette LaPointe of Franklin, Daniel Morrissette of Belmont, Gary Morrissette (and his wife, Katherine) of Loudon and Scott Morrissette (and his wife, Juliana) of Sanbornton, many grandchildren, including Victoria Lord, five brothers; Eugene Greenwood of Maine, Raymond Greenwood of Belmont, Ellsworth “Butch” Greenwood of Vermont, Alfred Greenwood of Laconia and Paul Greenwood of Claremont, and three sisters; Lorena Herbert of Cullman, Alabama, Theresa Hammond of Franklin and Mary Dubois of Laconia and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers; Clayton “Sonny” Greenwood and Leo Greenwood, and former husband, Norman Lord.
Calling hours will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia.
