Cynthia D. Ford, 55

Cynthia D. (Lameka) Ford, age 55, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of John D. Ford to whom she was wed on December 19, 1977.
Born in Washington ,DC on July 10,1958, she was a loving daughter of the late Harry Lameka and the late Lois (Dennis) Griffith.
Cindy grew up in Maryland, New Hampshire, Vermont and later her family moved to Massachusetts and settled in Foxboro. She was a graduate of Foxboro High School and attended Bridgewater State College.
Mrs. Ford served her adoring family as a dedicated homemaker. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She had made her home in Mansfield for over 25 years and her favorite hobby was gardening.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Carrie E. Austin, Christine Linsky and John R. Ford all of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Lois Calautti of Windsor, MA, Lynn Jepson of New Hampshire and Pamela Callahan of Norfolk. She was the cherished grandmother of Emily, Matthew, Isabelle, Nathan, Christopher, Hannah, Alana, Mya, Toni, Tess, and Trey She is also survived by her mother-in-law Dorothy Ford of Plainville, several brother and sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invit6ed to attend, will be held on Thursday, April 17th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Cynthia’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Matthew Calautti Fund, care of, the Mansfield Bank, 80 North Main St., Mansfield, MA 02048. Matt is battling brain cancer and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
