Charles R. "Chuck" Loyd, II, 51 of Anderson, died suddenly April 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born July 24, 1962 in Great Lakes, IL .
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was an ASE Master Mechanic for the beginning of his career then worked for Anderson Municipal Light and Power in several capacities.
He was a member of The Bridge Community Church.
He was a member of Veterans of Madison County and American Antique Outboard Motor Club. He loved spending time with his family and going to the lake. He loved gardening; fishing;
tinkering with old boat motors; and for the last couple of months, adoring his new granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Connie (Herndon) Loyd of Anderson whom he married February 14, 2000; mother, Linda B. Fears; mother-in-law, Brigitte Dodd; son, Nick (Samantha) Loyd; grandmother, Betty Loyd; brother, Richard (Elizabeth Edwards) Loyd; sister, Marisa (Christopher) Mamazza; granddaughter, Rayann Loyd; two sisters-in-law, Sherry (Dan) Stapleton and Linda (Darrell) Shupperd and several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Loyd; grandparents, Roy Loyd, Florence Loyd and Belva Brummett
Service will be 6 PM on Tuesday, April 15 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chris Mishler officiating. Visitation will be 2 PM to 6 PM before the service Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana; The Bridge Church or VMC Club.
