Obituary

RUDZIUNAS, LEONAS of Stoughton, MA, passed away on April 6, 2014. He was a dedicated husband to his deceased wife Albina. He leaves behind his brother Algis Rudis, sister Danute Valodka, sister-in-law Rina Dambrauskas, and their families. Although he did not have any children, his nieces and nephews are mourning their uncle’s death. His three God-daughters, Jurate Dambrauskas-Tsurufuji, Dalia Harp, and Daiva Chalihan will also miss him.
Leonas was born on April 11, 1930 in Kaunas, Lithuania. His family emigrated to America during WWII. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for many years at Anderson Power Products as a draftsman until he retired.
Throughout his life he enjoyed travelling and gardening with his wife Albina, and the company of his family and friends. Leonas was active in the Lithuanian-American community. A wake will be held on Friday April 11th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St., S. Boston, MA, with prayers at 7:00pm led by Monsignor Albert Contons. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Church, 75 Flaherty Way, S. Boston, MA on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:00am, with a procession to his final resting place in New Calvary Cemetery.
