Obituary

Laconia-----Edith A. Jacques, 89, of 22 Riverside Court, died at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. She was the widow of Raymond A. Jacques who died in 2008.
Mrs. Jacques was born June 5, 1924 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of the late Marshall and Agnes (Jaclard) Grant. She had been a lifetime resident of Laconia and had been employed at Laconia Shoe for 40 years.
Mrs. Jacques was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She loved reading, embroidery, her big yellow cat and favorite show….Judge Judy.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet S. Stitt, and her husband, Thomas, of Center Harbor; a son, Steven R. Jacques, of Laconia; two grandchildren, Christopher Kimball of Meredith and Nicole Renee Jacques of Hutto, Texas; two great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 10:30AM-11:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 AM also at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Jacques’ nephew, Rev. Marc Gagne, Pastor of Saint Anne Parish of Hampstead, N.H., will offer the prayers.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, N.H.
