Dan Lee Jenkins, 83, went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Born in Upton, Ky., he was a retired entrepreneur, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ona Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his son, Gary Jenkins; daughter, Cheri Winebrenner (Steve); stepdaughters, Rhonda Dum (Jim) and Celeste Beam (Harry); twelve grandchildren, Cherith, Kara, Ryan, Stephen, Kyle, Nikki, Kristin, Nick, Kevin, Michael, Jenny and Kyle; five great-grandchildren. His funeral will be 11 am at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 1pm to 8 pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy and after 10 am Saturday at his church. In lieu of flowers, expressions may be made to the church building fund or Hosparus of Louisville.
