Russell C. Kersey, 67, passed away April 6, 2014. He was a retired conductor with CSX railroad, a Marine veteran of Vietnam, a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Judith L. (Cundiff) Kersey; parents, Dymple and Dennis Kersey; a brother, Warren Kersey. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kelly (Jason); sons, Russell B. Kersey (Tami), Andrew C. Kersey (January); brother, David Kersey; sister, Carol Borkoski; nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Inurnment of cremains will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Central. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
