LACONIA – Edna Neil Tracy passed peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.
Edna, the daughter of William H. and Ruth F. (Judkins) Neil, was born May 26, 1916 in Turner, Maine. She graduated from Farmington, Maine High School and married Linwood Tracy in 1939, who predeceased her in August, 2001. She had been employed as a telephone operator and later by the Rochester School System in the food service program. Her hobbies included Quilting, knitting, reading and entertaining family and friends. She was a devoted mother.
She is survived by her children; Nan T. Fay of Gilford, Roger B. Tracy and his wife Claudia of Dover and Deborah T. Storrs and her husband Joe of Laconia, grandchildren Carey Blandford, Jeffrey Fay, William Fay, Mark Tracy, Amanda Cowley and David Storrs, also her eight treasured great grandchildren; Heather, Steven, Rachel, Lillian, Alexandra, Sawyer, Dylan and Catherine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Linwood Tracy.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Turner Village Cemetery in Turner, ME.
