Bedford– Roberta A. Gross, 65, died April 3, 2014 at Bedford Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Alton, IL on March 9, 1949 the daughter of Paul W. and Ruth (Brzowsky) Gross.
She earned both her Bachelors and Masters degree in sociology from Northeastern University.
She had been a writer consultant and later an Adjunct Professor at Rivier UniversityShe was predeceased by her father Paul W. Gross in 1980.
Family members include her mother, Ruth Gross of Springfield, IL., two brothers, Paul W. Gross and his wife Kathleen of Fairfax, VA., Dennis L. Gross and his wife, Shirley of Springfield IL.
A memorial reception will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2014 from 5 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A prayer service will take place at 6:30 PM during the reception. Burial will be at a later date in Valhalla Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roberta’s name to Catholic Medical Center, 100 McGregor St. Manchester, NH 03102.
