Obituary

…RCN Cable, Plaza Limousine; 63
LOWELL - Karen L. Gath, age 63, a beloved member of a well known Greater Lowell family, died peacefully on Friday, April 4, at her Lowell home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the life partner for the past fourteen years of Michael Mason, with whom she resided.
Karen was born in Lowell, January 7, 1951, and became one of ten children of Edith (Seigal) Gath of Tewksbury, and the late Harold J. Gath. She was raised in Tewksbury, and graduated Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1969.
She worked for Raytheon in Burlington, and later as the office manager at Plaza Limousine Company in So. Lowell. Most recently, she worked for RCN Cable company in Framingham.
She loved taking trips to Ipswich with Michael, the outdoors, boating, fishing and camping in the White Mountains, time on Kezar Lake in Maine, tossing horse shoes and darts with the traveling league at the Bunting Club, and watching the Patriots, and the Red Sox. She will be remembered as the “life of the party,” her warm and caring personality, her telephone voice, her great beauty, and her inner warmth willingly shared with everyone she met.
Besides her mother and life partner, she leaves eight sisters and brothers, Wayne J. Gath of Destin, FL, James R. and his wife Gina (Lippiello) Gath of Reading, Bonnie S. Gath-Guptill of Billerica, Gerald E. and his wife Martha (Lyons) Gath of Dunstable, Bruce A. Bevin of Lowell, Rebecca and her husband Garry Fuller of Dracut, Dennis M. and his wife Nancy (Pasciuto) Gath of Tewksbury, Lorna-Faye Gath and her fiance Frank Pare of Hampton, NH, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
