Anna Lee (Winkler) Lutton
June 20, 1919 to April 2, 2014

Anna Lee (Winkler) Lutton, 94, of Anderson passed away on April 2, 2014 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after an extended illness.

She was born in Sanger, Texas on June 20, 1919 and moved with her family to Anderson two years later. Her parents were John S. and Nancy E. (Williams) Winkler, originally from Sneedville, TN.

She was married for 63 years to James P. Lutton, who passed away July 21, 2000. He had retired from Delco Remy after working there 42 years. They met at a church camp when he was 6 and she was 5 years old, a virtual life long romance.

They were active in the Christian and Missionary Alliance church for 75 years and she continued to support CMA missions, Youth for Christ, Campus Crusade for Christ and Mission Aviation Fellowship. She taught Sunday School for several years and participated in many church and homemaker activities. She was a 40 year member of the Willing Workers Home Demonstration Club. She and her husband spent 15 summers with family at their lake home in Northern Minnesota. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting; quilting and sewing. She also loved to fish and to travel. She was dedicated to prayer and Bible study.


Survivors include her two sons and their families, Dr. Donald L. (Becky) Lutton of Newburgh, IN; James D. (Glenda) Lutton of Savannah, GA; granddaughter, Kimberly Lutton; three great grandchildren: Lauren; Ashley, Landin; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lydia Sample of Denver, CO; three brothers, Roy Winkler of Escondido, CA; Brotan Winkler of Anderson and Rev. Joel Winkler of Kingman, AZ and a grandson, Eric Lutton.

Service will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Tom Snell officiating with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be given to Liberty Christian School.
