Obituary

Worcester – Stephen M. Lobo, 52, of Worcester died on Tuesday, April 1st in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after being stricken ill.

Mr. Lobo is survived by his mother, Marie (Smith) Hoar of Worcester; a sister, Tina Cox of Knoxville, TN; a godchild, Talexa O’Leary of Rutland; a close friend, Trisha Pike of Rutland nieces, nephews and a countless number of friends. He is predeceased by his father Alban Lobo and a brother, Richard Lobo.

Steve attended South High School and was currently the manager of the Subway on Stafford Street and was previously the manager for the Chandler Street Subway. Before he worked at Subway he was employed for many years at the Bristol Painting Company.

Mr. Lobo volunteered countless hours of his time to youth in the Worcester area. He especially was dedicated to the former Maranville Little League and later the Jesse Burkett Little League where he served as a coach on numerous girls softball district championship teams and state championship teams.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 11th from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street with a prayer service at 7PM.
