Justine (Doucet) Healey, 96 of Abington, passed away on Tuesday April 1st surrounded by her family at the South Shore Hospital, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late William Healey.
She was born and brought up in Grand Etang, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Hurbert and Melanie Doucet.
Justine has been a long time resident of Abington and a member of the St. Bridget Church in Abington. In her younger years she had worked for the Stride Rite Shoe Company for 40 years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and especially her dogs.
She is survived by her son Francis Healey of Abington, her seven granddaughters, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; also many nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of 13 children. She was also the mother of the late William Healey.
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday April 5th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (RT 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Her visitation will be held on Friday April 4th from 4:00-7:00PM. Donations may be made in her name to the MSPA, 1300 West Elm St. Brockton, MA 02301
