Beverly R. “Bev” Petit, 86, of Danielson Pike, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Briarcliff Manor in Johnston. She was the widow of Ernest W. Petit.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lucy (Paolantonio) Ruberto. She had lived in Scituate since 1959.
She was a former volunteer for the Potterville Ambulance Corps, a member of the Cranston Senior Citizens and St. Joseph Church, Scituate. She was an avid bird watcher and an amateur rock collector. She loved her yearly trips to Block Island and was an avid beach walker.
She is survived by her children: Janice A. Rounds and her husband, Kevin of Glocester, Michael D. Petit and his wife, Carol of Exeter, her four grandchildren: Jessica and Matthew Rounds and William and Nathan Petit. She was mother of the late Ernest W. Petit, Jr. and was the sister of the late Eugene Ruberto.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. (Exit 7B from Route 295 North or South, travel through 8 traffic lights, immediately on the left after the 8th traffic light) Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville.
