RUTLAND - Carol Teixeira, 71, of Rutland passed away Wednesday, March 26.
Carol was predeceased by her husband James Teixeira. She leaves her daughter Sharon Sullivan and sons Jeffrey Sullivan, his wife Diane, Stephen Sullivan and his wife Dawn; her sister Judith Isidorio and husband James; cherished grandchildren, Bridgit, Patrick, Kelly, Annie, Ryan, Keegan and Rachel. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of Alvin and Mildred Basnight.
Carol's favorite place on earth was Cuttyhunk Island, surrounded by the ocean. She was a devoted Christian and a kind woman with a gentle loving spirit.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Holden on Friday, April 4 at 4 PM. A graveside service will be held at St. John's Cemetery in New Bedford on Saturday, April 5 at 11 AM.
