Lenora G. (Goldsmith) Hensley, 85, of Anderson died March 28, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a year long illness.
She was born February 1, 1929 in Anderson to William Hubert and Caroline E. (Cates) Goldsmith.
She was a nurse aide, bookkeeper and worked at General Motors during World War II.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She loved gardening. She was a self-taught seamstress who enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She loved her animals and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
She us survived by her four children, Jack F. Hensley Jr.; Laura K. Hensley and Thomas C. Hensley;. all of Anderson and Rebecca L. Hensley of California; four grandchildren, Derrick Hensley and Heather Hensley of California; Christine R. Hensley and James Hensley of Anderson; five great grandchildren, Dylain Hensley; Khairi Hensley; Aidon Hensley; Zion Hensley and Tessa Hensley; two special companions, Emmylu and Alfie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Hensley Sr. and her sister, Elizabeth Dilts.
Graveside service will be 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 2 at East Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. William Mathys officiating.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society or A.R.F. in Muncie.
