Alice G. Walsh “Sallie”, of Marshfield, March 16, 1935- March 29, 2014. Daughter of the late Marion (Cole) and Calvin L. Gardner. Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Walsh and sister of Calvin Gardner (deceased). Survived by her nieces Carlene Gardner and Lisa Guimond and nephew John Robbins; and several other nieces and nephews and their children. Sallie graduated from Simmons College in Publications and maintained a life-long love of reading. She continued her studies in history and taught university before pursuing a career in law. She was a proud supporter of the Marshfield Council on Aging (CoA) and the Ventress Memorial Library, both of which fueled her passion for learning throughout her retirement years. Sallie also loved to travel, but what she most cherished was spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Macdonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery.
