Obituary

BOSTON – Madeline (Silva) Pacheco, longtime companion of John “Jack” Casey of Wollaston, died at Mass General Hospital on March 28, 2014.
She was 79.
Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Silvia) Silva.
A retired mixologist, Madeline tended bar at Good Time Charlie’s and other local taverns in the downtown Boston area for many years, and enjoyed fun times with family and friends.
In addition to her longtime companion, she leaves her step-daughter, Susan Harris of Halifax; a son, Stephen Pacheco of Keene, NH; a daughter, Jill Barlow of Revere; two brothers, Antone Silvia, Jr. of Taunton and George Baptista of Middleboro; four sisters, Mary Flint of Berkley, Rose Brophy of Taunton, Sarah Silvia of Wareham and Marilyn Smith of Dighton; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Bruce Pacheco and sister of the late Dorothy Pacheco, Alice Souza Gadry, and Edith Flint.
Funeral Services will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, April 2nd at 12 p.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 1st from 5 to 8 p.m.
