FRAMINGHAM: Peter J. Finkel, 59, passed away suddenly on March 16, 2014. He was born in Boston on November 23, 1954 the son of the late Sylvia (Nathan) Finkel and Dimi Finkel.
Peter leaves his sister Patti Finkel of Andover, brother-in-law Eric Linde and a nephew Dimitri Linde.
Peter was raised in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham North High School with the Class of 1972. Peter also graduated from the New York Film Institute of America.
A true Framingham resident, he was articulate in topical matters of the Metrowest area. Peter was a lifelong music lover with a vast appreciation of all music. He especially enjoyed playing the drums.
He was formerly employed in the audio visual field, was a licensed projectionist and worked in the legal field as a video technician. He also owned and operated Location Video for many years.
He enjoyed stand-up comedy and toured local Boston area clubs. Peter was one of a kind, had a great personality and was full of kindness and love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:45 am at Sharon Memorial Park, Dedham Street, Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Peter’s memory may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 9 Erie Drive, Natick, MA 01760 or to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Ste 250, Washington, DC 20005 and would be appreciated.
