David A. Hersey, age 44, of Lawrence, MA, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at home.
He leaves his wife, Anisa M. (Castro) Hersey of Lawrence, whom he married in 1996. He also leaves a son, Nicholas A. Hersey of Lawrence; a daughter, Brennah R. Hersey of Lawrence; his parents, Philip A. and Joyce M. (DeFusco) Hersey of Methuen; a brother, Philip S. Hersey of Plastow, NH; his maternal grandfather, Anthony DeFusco of Methuen; his father-in-law, Joseph Castro of Methuen; and his aunt, Angelina "Angie" (DeFusco) Wallalis of Webster.
Dave was born in Lawrence and lived in Methuen and Lawrence most of his life. He was a self employed carpenter, owned and operated Dave's Real Toys and was a noted wooden toy maker.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
