Barbara L. (Clark) Yonker, age 81, of Brockton, died Tuesday evening March 25, 2014 at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Roy F. Yonker. Born and raised in Stoughton and had been a resident of Brockton since 1969. She was the daughter of the late Paul F. and Louise A. (Senter) Clark. Barbara had worked in many area shoe factories and became a stay at home mom with the birth of her daughter.
She enjoyed Sunday dinners at George’s Café with her daughter, crossword puzzles and watching old movies and reruns of the Golden Girls.
She is survived by her daughter L. Barbara “Barbie” Yonker of Brockton and was the sister of Carolyn McMakin of S. Easton, Mary Clark of Taunton, Richard Clark of Florida, Joseph Clark of Stoughton and the late William E. Clark, Sr., Paul Clark, Jr., Robert Clark, Jean Durling and Claire Clark. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday, March 31, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home onTuesday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
