Raymond F. Genereux, 74, of New Bedford died March 19, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Annette M. (Carlisle) Genereux with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Arthur Genereux, Sr. and Margaret (Morrell) Caldas and step-son of the late Joesph "Flint" Caldas, he lived in all of his life.
He loved spending time with his family and fishing. He was loved by many and had a golden heart.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Lori Sharples and her husband John, Thomas Genereux and his wife Cheryl and Michael Genereux; three grandchildren, John Sharples, III, Rebecca Sharples and Logan Genereux; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeannette Drew; and an uncle, Harold Morrell.
He was the brother of the late Arthur Genereux, Jr., Shirley Carrier and Dorothy Daylor.
