Obituary

Worcester -- James “Jaime” Vincent Grimes, 52, of Worcester died at home March 14, 2014 after a long illness.
Jaime was the much loved son of Eleanor C. (Lynch) and Eugene F. Grimes, brother to Sean J. Grimes and Eugene F. Grimes, all of whom predeceased him.
Jaime is survived by his two sisters Anne T. “Terri” Grimes of Worcester and Maria C. Halloran and her husband Robert of Webster as well as his nieces and nephew: Tara A. (Halloran) Gasco, Courtney M. (Halloran) Blais, Erin C. Halloran, Brooke E. (Halloran) Kay, Sean J. Grimes and Shannon T. Grimes.
Jaime was a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Applied Sciences and Pedorthics. Jaimie was a master cobbler and boot maker. He owned and operated America’s Best Cobbler in Worcester for many years. He worked for Luizzi Shoe of Brockton where he made custom boots. Jaimie also worked as a Pedorthist for Snyder Orthopedic and Prosthetic in Tulsa, OK; Humble Orthopedic and Prosthetic in El Paso, TX; Custom Footwear in Mesa, AZ and at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s Orthopedic and Prosthetic’s lab through Bond Shoe in Brookline and Woburn where he filled prescriptions for orthopedic appliances. Jaimie also worked in the diabetic wound care clinic of Akron General Hospital in both Akron and Cleveland, OH. He was a Certified Nurse Assistant having completed training through the American Red Cross. He also had his Oil Heat Technician’s license from the New England Fuel Institute in Watertown.
Jaime is in our hearts and always will be. We will never forget his smile or the way he made us laugh.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Chris Allain from Community Health Link for all the help and support that he gave to Jaimie…especially during this last part of his journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there for him.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jaime’s memory to Community Health Link, 72 Jaques Ave., Worcester, MA 01610-2480.
