Obituary

COCHITUATE: James A. “Jim” Lupien, 85, died quietly and peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Wayland Nursing and Rehab Center following a period of declining health.
He was born in Natick on March 12, 1929 the son of the late Alphonse Lupien and Ellen (McSweeney) Lupien.
He is survived by his son Stephen Eric Lupien and his wife Nancy of Portland, ME. Brother of Dorothy DesChamps of Ashland, Robert Lupien of Framingham and Thomas Lupien of Cochituate and brother-in-law of Dorothy Lupien of Natick. Brother of the late John Lupien, Patricia Leary and Dennis Lupien. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jim had been a longtime resident of Cochituate and also resided in Framingham for several years and Sudbury for a period of time. He was a graduate of Wayland High School with the Class of 1948.
He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Jim had a long career of over 27 years before retiring as the Production Lineman for General Motors in Framingham. He loved fishing and spent many hours fishing in Lake Cochituate and on Dudley Pond in Cochituate.
At Jim’s request, services will be held at the Lupien family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate on Saturday March 29, 2014 at 10:00AM.
