Laconia, New Hampshire - Devin Michael Denoncourt, 35, formerly of Laconia, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 21, 2014 from complications with an undetermined heart condition at George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C. He had been a resident of Rockville, MD for the past eighteen months.
Born March 2, 1979 in Newton Massachusetts, son of Dennis and Susan Denoncourt of Laconia, NH. Devin attended Laconia Schools from kindergarten through High School and participated in Lou Athanas Basketball, Pop Warner Football, and Laconia Little League Baseball. In high school, he played football as an offensive and defensive lineman during the Sachems back to back State Championship seasons in 1995 and 1996, was Captain his senior year, and represented Laconia on the NH All Star Shrine Football Team in 1997. Devin graduated from Southern New Hampshire University where he majored in Hospitality Management in 2001.
Devin had worked for Marriott International starting as a front desk manager while in college and working his way to his most recent position as General Manager at the Courtyard Marriott at Foggy Bottom in Washington, DC.
Devin is survived by his fiancé, Sheila Rhilinger, originally from North Attleboro, MA, and their son Dylan Michael, both of Rockville, MD, his beloved bulldog Moxie, his parents Dennis and Susan Denoncourt, his brother Jason Denoncourt of Lexington, MA and wife Rena, their children Mike, Luke, and Amelia, his sister Nicole Sloane of Bedford, NH and her husband Geoffrey and daughter Susan, his Grandmother Cleo Spain of Concord, NH and many, many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andre Bessette Parish, St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H.
Burial to follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street in Concord, NH, with a reception to follow at the Kimball Jenkins Estate, 266 North Main Street, Concord, NH.
