Ruth L. (Easton) Kelleher, age 84, of Brockton, died March 23, 2014 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Kelleher. Ruth was born, raised and educated in Brockton, a daughter of the late John and Clara (Jump) Easton. She was very family oriented and also enjoyed tending to her home and garden.
Ruth is survived by her children Kathleen and Maureen Kelleher, Colleen Johnson and her husband Michael, and Richard Kelleher, Jr. all of Brockton; five grandchildren Nicole Hathaway, Kate Connolly and her husband Shawn, Justin Kelleher and his wife Katie Solari, and Samantha and Lucas Johnson; great granddaughter Kaelyn Hathaway; sister Dorothy Watters; son-in law Michael Tresham and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Laurie Tresham and was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 5-8pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10:30am followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. In remembrance of her late daughter Laurie, the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ruth’s name to the Dr. Lawrence Melanoma Research Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital, 100 Cambridge St. Ste 1310, Boston, MA 02114.
