Michael R. Tremblay, 58, a 13-year resident of Woburn, passed away March 24, 2014 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a courageous battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). He was the beloved husband of Janice Laing Tremblay.
Born in Lowell, Michael was the son of the late Leo and Annette (Moreau) Tremblay. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and was a security guard at Textron Defense Systems in Wilmington for over 30 years. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed playing the harmonica, and loved feeding the birds. He also enjoyed NASCAR and playing croquet “the Tremblay way”.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his seven siblings; Gloria Lefebvre of NH, Leo Tremblay of MA, George Tremblay of ID, Ronnie Tremblay of NH, Marie Pepin of NH, Donna Grantz of NH and Roger Tremblay of MA. He was also the brother-in-law of Debbie and Peter Antonuccio, Patty and Bobby Twyman, and Linda and Kevin O’Brien, all of MA, and is further survived by 26 nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, Friday, March 28 @ 8:45AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Parish, 851 Main St., Woburn at 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held at the Costello Funeral Home on Thurs. from 4-8PM. Interment Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
