Josephine M. Wolf, age 91, of Ventura passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Mrs Wolf was born on March 28, 1922 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Richard and Marie During, and was a Ventura resident for the last 58 years. Mrs Wolf was retired, having worked for JC Penney and was an Avon sales associate for many years. She was very active in the community being a Girl Scout Leader, volunteer for Family to Family, leadership in PTA at El Camino Grammar School, volunteer for the Ventura County Elections Office, and was active in her church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death 18 years ago by her husband of 51 years, Robert E. Wolf, and her brother Richard During and her sister Rita Holt. Josephine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Fran and Patrick Lawler of Oxnard, son and daughter-in-law Don and Barbara Wolf of Santa Rosa, and son and daughter-in-law Tom and Debbie Wolf of Goleta; her grandchildren Philip Lawler, Jenny Lawler, Pete Wolf and wife Jennifer, Brigitta Eggleston and husband Mark, Greg Wolf, Kimberly Wolf; and great-grandchildren Pierce Wolf, Sara Pierce, Asa Eggleston and wife Jennifer, Renee Hall and husband Bert, Zachary Eggleston and Ryan Eggleston; and great-great-grandchildren Jaxon and Taylor Hall; and Elliot and Alex Eggleston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Josephine is her beloved dog and constant companion, Crissy.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday March 29, 2014 in Sacred Heart Church 10800 Henderson Street Ventura Sacred Heart Church, Ventura. Burial will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. In lieu of flowers please honor Josephine with a donation to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or Family to Family. Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P.
