Angela M. “Angie” Sanborn-Peck, 69, a long-time Londonderry, NH resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, with her family by her side. She spent almost two years fighting a courageous battle against a brain tumor and a stroke. She was born on October 17, 1944 in Boston, MA a daughter of Hugo and Helen (Mazza) Ditto.
Angela was an accomplished professional having received her Bachelor’s degree from Whittemore School of Business at UNH. She was Director of AAA of New Hampshire, a member of the Manchester Rotary and Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the board of Trustees on the Manchester Airport Development Committee. Angela was also actively involved in her community. She was a Scout Master and Town Director for Girl Scouts, a United Way board member, and one time candidate for town representative. Angela loved to travel the world relaxing in the sun and she was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband and partner of 22 years, Mark Peck; 4 children, Tracy Torrey of Fremont, Joyce Torrey of Keene, Richard Jehlicka of Manchester, and Suzanne Jehlicka of Manchester; 2 stepchildren, Jessica Peck of Manchester, and Shawn Peck of Londonderry; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; various other family and many friends
Calling hours were held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A funeral service followed at 7:00 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Pillsbury Cemetery in Londonderry.
