Obituary

WORCESTER-Charles K. Agbanyo, 69 of 98 Eastern Avenue died Wednesday, October 20th in Memorial Hospital. He leaves his wife of 2 years, Margaret Y. (Yaboh) Agbanyo, 3 sons, Charles Y. and Ian K. Agbanyo both of Worcester and Kojoe Hector Ledlum of Philadelphia, PA, a daughter, Abla G. Rideout of Worcester, 6 brothers, Kobla Agbanyo of California, Foster Agbanyo of Niger, Frank, Amegali, Kwame and Kobla Agbanyo all of Ghana, W. Africa, 3 sisters, Charity Agbanyo of New York, Rose Agbanyo of Italy and Gifty Agbanyo of Ghana, W. Africa, 18 grandchildren, 3 nephews, Edward Agbanyo of Houston, TX, Moses Agbanyo of Worcester and Devine Adika of NY, 2 nieces, Francisca Agbanyo of Canada and Lolita Siale of OH, 4 cousins, Stanley, Wise, Seth and Emma Lumax all of NJ. A son, Charles F. Agbanyo and 4 brothers, Emmanuel, Seth, Cephas and Victor Agbanyo predeceased him.

He was born in Ghana, West Africa the son of Andreas and Mary A. (Kuatsikor) Agbanyo and graduated with a degree in accounting in Ghana. Mr. Agbanyo worked as an accountant for Shell Gas Station for 7 years, until retiring in 2002. He was a member of New Life Apostolic Temple. He loved politics, was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. Charles was outgoing, outspoken and a very friendly person who loved life.

The funeral service is at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 6th, in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, November 5th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
