Betty Ann Barrentine Lee, 74, of Enigma died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Enigma Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Albritton will officiate with burial to follow. Her grandsons, Cip Lee, Ty Lee, Cole Benson, Andy Eason, along with Jimmy Barrentine, Earl Barrentine and Cecil McMillan will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Lee was born on December 26, 1939 in Berrien County and was the daughter of Thomas Elbert Barrentine and Ruth Grantham Barrentine, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James T. Barrentine; one sister, Nora Bell Kinchen; and two daughters-in-law, Martha C. Lee and Daphne G. Lee. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clifford James Lee Jr. of Enigma, who she married on March 7, 1956; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Wayne Benson of Tifton and Jina and John Sparks of Inaha; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim Lee of Enigma and Jed and Audra Lee of Statenville; eight grandchildren, Anna Lee, Lee and Andy Eason, Ty Lee, Cole and Julia Benson, Cip Lee and Grant Lee; seven great-grandchildren, Amber, Case, Alee, Luke, Andrew, Lake and Ella; one sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Jason Griffin; one brother-in-law, Rass Kinchen; one sister-in-law, Zane Barrentine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
