Alcide H. “Fast Al” Demers, 84, of Salem, NH, died March 15th at his home.
He was born and educated in Lawrence, MA. He was a resident of Salem for over 40 years.
Al was a retired firefighter for the Town of Salem, NH for over 26 years. He was an avid member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge, where he was in the pool leagues. Al enjoyed traveling to Bangor and Millinocket, ME, to visit family and play the slots.
Al was predeceased by his siblings Albina Demers, Anita Boisvert, Rudolph Demers, Leo Demers, and Joseph Demers.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years: Sandra J. (Zambino) Demers

Brothers in Law and Sisters in Law: Randy Grava and his wife Carol of Yakima, WA, Millie Waldie of Andover, MA, Lynn Demers of Sandown, NH, Barbara Martin of Bangor, ME, and Paula and her husband Chris Murdock of Old Town, ME.
Grandchildren: Joseph Luscomb, Nicholas Demers, Sarah Luscomb, Danielle Luscomb, and Michael Olds.
Great Grandson: Ryan Collins

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, March 27th from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. A memorial service will be Friday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
