Sanbornton-----Frank E. Hewitt, 64, of Hermit Woods Road, Sanbornton died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Belmont.
Frank was born February 16, 1950 in Exeter, N.H., the son of the late Carroll and Louise (Blanchette) Hewitt.
Frank was a longtime resident of Laconia before moving to Sanbornton twenty-one years ago. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and had been a self-employed carpenter for many years. He also was employed at Home Depot in Tilton for a number of years.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Jaycees, SASS and Pemi Fish & Game.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty years, Leean (Winstanley) Hewitt, of Sanbornton; five children, Michelle L. McDonald of Laconia, Marc J. Hewitt, and his wife, Megan, of Bristol; Kristine O. Hewitt and her significant other, Thomas DiCato, of Massachusetts; Katrina A. Hood and her husband, Tom, of Indiana and Jennifer I. Jackes and her husband, Brian, of Belmont; six grandchildren, Lily, Zoe and Abigail Hewitt, Isabella and Jonathan McDonald and Thomas Hood; a sister, Pam Moyer, of Arizona and one nephew, Justin Barriault. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by a sister, Deborah Hewitt.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H.
