Ronald George Davis
Nov. 4. 1939 - March 19, 2014

Ronald George Davis, 74, of Anderson died March 19, 2014 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born November 4, 1939 in Hope, IN to Orien Keith and Ruby Virginia (Fuel) Davis.

He graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in Terre Haute and attended Indiana State University 2 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a stationary Engineer at Delco Remy 42 years before retiring in 2006 and had been employed by Stanley/Best Lock.

He was a member of VFW Post 266 and the American Legion in Chesterfield.

He loved fishing, hunting and tinkering with everything.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Cynthia (Shaw) Davis; four children, Ronda Brinkley; Tonya Chappell; Roger "Ryan" Anderson ( Loray Pettigrew) and Quentin Davis all of Anderson; sister, Judy(Charles) Treadway of Terre Haute; twelve grandchildren, Amanda Turner, Zachary (Megan) Chappell, Michael Tucker, Leighann Justice, Garrett Stone; Alexis Brinkley; Brandon Madrid; Mariah Chappell; Geordan Brinkley; Tylor Chappell; Aiyanna Haggerman and Ezekiel Anderson; four great grandchildren,special uncle and aunt, Ronald (Lela) Fuel of Anderson; two nephews, William (Angie) Treadway of Terre Haute and Dennis (Christi) Treadway of MO; special friends, Len and Georgia Tate and best little companion "Tippy".

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Turner, his son Keith Davis and his parents.

Service will be Monday, March 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Fred Stevens officiating, burial in East Maplewood Cemetery with military rites provided by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Sunday, March 23 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
