Sarah A. (Lash) Kakasuleff
Nov. 9, 1925 to Mar. 9, 2014

Sarah A. (Lash) Kakasuleff, 88, of Cicero, died at her residence, Sunday, March 9, 2014.

She was born November 9, 1925 in Wheeling, West Virginia to George W. and Alice (Grimes) Lash.

She worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone, in the planning department of the City of Anderson and at Layman Life Insurance. She started the breakfast program at Longfellow Elementary School and the tutoring program after school during the 1970's.

She taught Sunday School and Nursery School at Park Place Church of God. She was a member of Charissa Club and volunteered for the Pendleton Reformatory Ministry. She was a square dancer with Footloose Singles; Do-Si-Do's and Madison County Promenaders.

Mother gave her time, love and heart to her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Mircho "Mike" Kakasuleff of Cicero; her children, Barbara (JB) Bachman of Nashville, TN; Rick (Ada) Long of East Lansing, MI; Roger (Sunni) Long of Butte, MT and Brenda (George) Caldwell of Anderson; sister, Garnetta (Don) Vaughn of Livonia, MI; Mike's children, Gerald (Nancy) Kakasuleff and Ken (Deb) Kakasuleff all of Cicero; Barbara (Ed) Belcher of Lebanon and their families; ten grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Gray; Angie Domenech; Christina Friend; Dylan Long; Sonia Caldwell; Natalia Long; Patrick Caldwell; Daniel Long; Sara Long and Adam Long; six great grandchildren, Lauren; Grayson; Brayden; Gus; Aubrey; Henry; Willow and Noah; numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings including Dr. H. Howard Lash; grandson, Paul "PG" Gray.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Don Collins of Park Place Church of God officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM until the service at 1 PM. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Special Olympics or Park Place Community Center Food Pantry.
