Carolyn Marie (Perry) Timm, 70, of New Bedford died Monday March 17, 2014 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Timm.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Pauline (Fortes) Perry, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Timm was formerly employed as a dietary aide at St. Luke's Hospital.
Her family and her faith were the center of her life. She was well loved by many and had a heart of gold.
Survivors include four daughters, Vanessa Perreira, Susan Sylvia, Jacqueline Sylvia, and Bernadette Souza and her husband Kevin; four stepchildren, Walter Baptiste, Ray Baptiste, Keith Baptiste, and Lea Britto; a brother Arthur R. "Butch" Perreira, Jr.; a sister, Barbara E. Garrison of Idaho; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the stepmother of the late Joan Baptiste, and sister of the late John Theodore Perreira and Diane J. Lindsey.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
