Evans, GA – Sara Ann Felberg, 42, entered into rest on Monday, March 17, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Platt’s Funeral Home Chapel on Belair Road with Bishop Philip Napier and Pastor Bill Branch officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bath, SC.
Sara was employed with CB&I at Plant Vogtle as a Human Resource Assistant. Sara was a wonderful daughter, mother, G-ma and treasured friend to many. Sara was a totally positive person and always had a kind word and a warm smile. She loved a good cup of coffee, a great book and loved music of all types, especially the Beatles and Frank Sinatra. Sara was a graduate of Butler High School and attended Augusta College.
Survivors include two daughters; Haley Newman (Brandon Bennett) and Amanda Newman (Josh Wilson) both of Augusta, GA, parents; Paul and Lucy Felberg of N. Augusta, SC, her fiancé Mike Hammock, four sisters; Paula Washam (Bobby) Indian Trail, NC, Donna Palmer (Troy) of Evans, GA, Amy Meyer (Charles) of Grovetown, GA, Rhonda Lynn of Evans, GA, one brother; Paul Felberg, Jr. (Lynn) of Augusta, GA, one grandson; Elliott Wilson and her second grandchild due in September. Sara was loved by many and had a very large extended family. Sara was preceded in death by her grandparents, the late John and Gladys Parrish, Elias Felberg, and Lillian and James Napier.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
