Obituary

Jeries S. Haddad, 92 years who resided in Somerville, formerly of Watertown, after living a wonderful life, passed away on March 17, 2014.

Born in Jarash, Jordan, he was the son of the late Rahmeh (Batarseh) and Saleem Haddad.

Jeries was a supervisor of telecommunication at the Irbid branch in Jordan for over 35 years and retired in 1970. He came to the United States in 1974 and worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a mail clerk and retired in 1980.

Beloved husband of the late Janet (Nachef) with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Devoted father of Margaret Al-Beirouty and her husband Khairi of Quincy, Malek Haddad and his wife Fadia of Cambridge, Maher Haddad and his wife Graziella, Makram Haddad and his wife Olga all of Somerville, Wafa Lavelle of Quincy, Munther Haddad and his wife Nadia of Saugus, and the late Mazen Haddad. Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren, 11 loving great grandchildren and the 12th coming in July. Brother of Tawfeek and Kamel Haddad both of Australia, and Victoria Akel of Arizona. Brother in law of Naimeh Haddad of Somerville, Laurice Rezek of Jordan and Antoun Nachef of Quincy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
