GLOUCESTER: Roberta M. (Ryan) Jones, 68, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Born in Ipswich on July 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William and Julie (Francis) Ryan. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School and has resided in Gloucester most of her life.
Roberta was employed at O’Donnell-Usen Fisheries for over twenty years. She loved to travel to Foxwoods with her soul mate, the late Donald Grey and playing cards with her many dear friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Smith and son, Wayne Smith, Jr. both of Gloucester; a sister, Marilyn Burns of Gloucester; two grandsons, R.J. Conway of Danvers and Daniel Smith of Gloucester and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her soul mate, Donald Grey, two sisters, Patricia Hardeman and Ruth “Sue” Mitchell, two nephews, Richard and William Frazier and a great-niece, Melissa Allen.
