Walter D. Wilkes, 72 of Ventura, CA passed away on Sunday March 16, 2014.
Walter was born June 16, 1941 in Martinez, CA and was a 7 year County Resident coming here from Las Vegas, NV. He was a commercial realtor for 40 years. He was a HUGE fan of basketball and football. He especially enjoyed watching UNLV basketball, Oakland Raider and Dallas Cowboy football games. He would put a smile on those he came in contact with. He treasured the trips he took with his family to Hawaii.
Walter is survived by his wife, the love of his life and best friend of 18 years Angela Limbocker-Wilkes; son Thomas Lee Doyle Wilkes of Newbury Park, CA; sister Virginia Lichtenfels of Roseville, CA; brother John Wilkes of Fredericksburg, VA: granddaughters Melissa Wilkes of Southaven, MS and Michelle Wilkes of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Buffy his beloved Laso Apso.
He was preceded in death by his son Lonnie Jay Wilkes of Southaven MS.
