Carole A. Ackel, age 62, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton, died March 12, 2014 at Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. Born and raised in Brockton, Carole was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Butler) Ackel, Sr. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1969 and for the past 10 years had been an employee of Walmart in Raynham. Carole had the gift of a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her yard. She also enjoyed working out; spending time walking and sunning at the beach, and tending to her home.
Carole is survived by a brother John Ackel, Jr. of S. Attleboro, five sisters Brenda Ackel of Brockton, Sharyn Churchill of Carver, Donna Hill of Sharon, Janice Maurath of Brockton and Katherine Mauro of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
Service of Incense will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 12 noon. Visitation will continue until 2pm.
